WP Catalogue Pro makes use of imagemagick (which is a server library) in order to resize and render images. Thus, you’ll need to ensure your webhost supports imagemagick (good web hosts usually have this enabled anyway).
If you’re seeing image issues with WP Catalogue then it is probably worth running a quick check to see if imagemagick is installed. You can do so with this niffty script.
If you’re running a local server in development make sure to install imagemagick. You can grab it here.
